How to get Beats Fit Pro Firmware update?

Today, Apple is releasing a new firmware update for the Beats Fit Pro.

Beats’ truly wireless earphones have been updated to version 4E64 as a result of the upgrade. See below for instructions on how to upgrade and check your firmware version.

The most recent firmware update for the Beats Fit Pro was released in November, and the AirPods will be released in December 2021.

This is the second firmware upgrade for Beats wireless earbuds powered by the H1 processor since they were launched last year.

Unfortunately, Apple does not offer release notes for firmware upgrades to AirPods or Beats headphones.

Instead, customers must wait for the update to reach their earphones before checking to see whether anything has changed.

As of now, firmware version 4E64 is only available for the Beats Fit Pro. Apple does not appear to be releasing AirPods upgrades today. That might change, and if it does, we’ll make sure to update this page.

How to update your Beats Fit Pro firmware

Apple does not make it simple to manually upgrade the software on your AirPods or Beats headphones.

Instead, the company claims that fresh software versions will be installed when the AirPods/Beats headphones are linked to your iPhone through Bluetooth.

To check your Beats Fit Pro firmware version:

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  • Navigate to the “Bluetooth” menu
  • Find your headphone in the list of devices
  • Tap the “i” next to them
  • Look at the “Firmware Version” number

Again, the newest Fit Pro firmware version is 4E64. If this is what you see in the Settings app, then it means your earbuds are fully updated. If not, the update should install when connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.
