‘RuneScape’ opens up to everyone on iOS and Android

Earlier this year, Publisher Jagex announced that RuneScape would be available for mobile early access sometime in the summer. Anyone can now play the long-running MMORPG for iOS and Android.

RuneScape is free-to-play, though subscribers get access to more quests, skills, and other extras. A seven-day free trial allows you to test the membership. Mobile versions allow cross-play with PC and cross-progression. You can jump between devices and go back to where you were.

This is not Old School RuneScape. It’s an updated version of a build that was released in 2007. That’s been available on iOS and Android since 2018. This is the RuneScape that Jagex has been continuously updating over the past 20 years.

It’s clear that RuneScape on Android and iOS is in high demand. There are more than 1.8 million registered players for these versions. They have a mobile-friendly interface with redesigned menus, icons, and text. The combat mechanics were also modified for iOS and Android.

RuneScape can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store. RuneScape is available in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
