Feathers are one of the most difficult resources for Ironmen wanting to improve their Fletching.
The most prevalent type of training is using Broad Arrows since it is one of the most cost-effective and time-efficient ways accessible owing to the enormous number of arrowheads available each day.
From the baseline need of level 52, players will need around 805,000 feathers, arrow shafts, and wide arrowheads to attain level 99 Fletching.
Ironmen may receive around 110,000 Feathers every 36 hours from Boxes of Feathers, with an additional 12,000 accessible by purchasing the Feathers directly from various businesses.
It takes 12 hours for the Feather shops to restock one Box of Feathers at a time, with a maximum of five per shop.
The easiest to access locations for Ironmen Feather Boxes
The easiest locations to purchase Feathers include:
- The Lumbridge Fish Supplies Store.
- The Shantay Pass Shop.
- Gerrant’s Fishy Business (The Port Sarim bait shop, near the lodestone).
- Lovecraft’s Tackle (Witchhaven, but it shares its stock with Gerrant’s Fishy Business).
Because there are no quest requirements, many people believe these to be the simplest places to get Feathers.
Shop locations with a simple quest requirement
The bait shops in the following locations require one or more quests to access.
- Draynor Manor – Ava’s Odds and Ends. Quest required: Animal Magnetism (and pre-quests)
- Fernahei’s Fishing Hut in Shilo Village, near Duradel. (Quest required, Shilo Village (and pre-quests)).
- Meena’s Fishing Shop in Menaphos (Requires partial completion of The Jack of Spades quest to access Menaphos)
- The Fishing Shops on Etceteria & Miscellania. Both require completion of The Fremmenik Trials to access the island.
- The Fremmenik Fishmonger in Rellekka has the same Fremmenik Trails requirement, despite access to the city not having any requirements.
- Oo’Glog’s Gift Shop. The Gift Shop and all other stores within Oo’glog require completion of the As a First Resort quest and its pre-quests.
If we estimate that players can buy 22 packs every day, it will take around twenty real-time days to obtain the requisite Feathers for 99 Fletching. The overall cost is around six million GP, or 300,000 GP each day.
