XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro 3D Printer Review

Budget 3-D printer technology has come a long, long way in just the last few years.

Only three or four years ago it was almost impossible to find a quality 3-D printer for any less than about $1200, but that’s just not the case any longer.

The 3D printing technology has gotten more and more advanced but the prices – especially for consumer-focused 3D printers – have become a lot more attractive and a lot more reasonable. today it’s possible to land a top-quality 3D printer for around $600 or so.

Complete right out of the box and ready to rock and roll as soon as you are, this 3-D printer is about as close to a legitimate “plug and plays” 3-D printer as you’re going to get at this specific budget-focused price point.

Check out the rest of our quick XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro review to figure out if this is the perfect 3-D printer for you!

Overview

Taking advantage of open-source filament solutions, you are going to be able to utilize 1.75 mm ABS and PLA filaments when you decide to create with this 3-D printer – a significant benefit and one of the most impressive standout features that this printer brings to the table (as well as something that we are going to highlight a little bit more as we dive deeper into this review).

Compact, easy to connect, and certainly one of the most affordable 3-D printers you’re going to come across, this isn’t the kind of 3-D printing technology that is going to restrict or limit your ability to create in any way but instead opened up a lot of creative potentials that simply wasn’t available at this entry-level price in the past.

Standout Features

The open-source filament that we highlighted just a moment ago has to be the most impressive of all the standard features that the XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro showcases.

Being able to use pretty much ANY kind of third-party filament you want to use with this 3-D printer allows you to keep the costs of running your printer low, but also allows you to get comfortable with a particular kind of filament that you know is going to suit your needs right down to the ground.

Combine this with the Wi-Fi connectivity that opens up true wireless 3-D printing to your XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro with the new and innovative built-in calibration system that allows you to fine-tune each printing project before you put forward and you’re looking at something truly special here.

The brand-new aluminum print also provides for much better heat distribution, providing extra clarity and extra responsiveness that you wouldn’t be able to get out of other budget level and entry price point printers that compete directly with this unit.

Usability

As far as the usability is concerned, you may not be able to find anything quite as close to the XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro as it gets when you’re looking for something that simply works right out of the box and without any real delay whatsoever.

A lot of people are surprised to learn that 3-D printers promising to be easy to use right out of the box are a lot more complex than they let on. This isn’t going to be the situation that you find yourself dealing with when you decide to move forward with the XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro.

It’s about as easy to use right after you open it up as can be, with really simple, really straightforward, and intuitive controls and software that are designed specifically for folks that haven’t ever used a 3-D printer in the past.

But this isn’t to say that the system is handicapped or “dumbed down” – nothing could be further from the truth. This is still a professional-grade piece of equipment at an entry-level price point, it is going to have plenty of growth opportunities for you weren’t forward.

Software

Like a lot of other entry-level 3-D printing solutions available on the market today, the XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro is going to come loaded with software that you will be able to use to create 3-D printed projects in absolutely no time whatsoever.

You can also take advantage of open source and some proprietary software solutions as well, though not all proprietary software solutions are going to work in conjunction with the XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro

Capacity

The capacity of this particular printer isn’t going to set the world on fire. After all, it is a compact desktop-style printer. It still has a printing envelope of 7.8” x 7.8” x 7.8”, and that’s going to be plenty big enough for most people looking to maximize their time spent with a printing solution.

Form Factor

We are looking at a very compact and very portable 3-D printing solution here in the XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro.

You may not need to move this unit from one desk to another all over your shop or the office that you are planning on installing this unit into, but if you need to move it around quite a bit you aren’t going to struggle to do that in any way, shape or form.

Lightweight, compact, and relatively portable, they don’t get much more complete than this when you’re talking about so much arise don’t factor.

Final Verdict

If you don’t have an oversized budget but still want to get your hands on a quality 3-D printing solution, you’re going to want to take a much closer look at everything that the XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro has to offer.

There are plenty of other printers available at close to the price tag of this printer, but none of them are anywhere near as complete or as well regarded as this one.
