For the first time since the iPhone X, Apple’s next premium iPhone, the iPhone 14 Pro, will feature a new notch.
Last week, its initial CAD images revealed a few design modifications, including a hole punch and pill cutout, and now a new schematic provides a more detailed look at the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max’s potential dimensions.
According to Twitter user Max Weinbach, Apple’s upcoming flagship phones will be thicker and have a more visible camera hump on both Pro variants.
Furthermore, his schematics show the hole punch + pill cutout on the front once more.
It’s worth noting that, while rumors suggest that the iPhone 14 would forego the SIM card for the first time, the schematics don’t need to get this correct because it won’t affect case makers.
The alterations to the notch, on the other hand, have an influence on accessory producers.
As shown in the iPhone 14 Pro Max render below, it will be marginally narrower than the previous version at 77.58 mm.
The height will be reduced by 0.1 mm, leaving it at 160.7 mm. As previously stated, it will get significantly thicker as the camera sensor bump increases.

The camera bulge on the iPhone 14 Pro will likewise be larger, but significantly smaller than on the Max model. In any case, it doesn’t appear like Apple will separate the cameras on Pro versions again, as it did with the iPhone 12.
In terms of size, the iPhone 14 Pro will be relatively comparable to the iPhone 13 Pro, albeit consumers will not be able to reuse the iPhone 13 Pro cover.
