Last month Netflix announced that a docuseries about the SpaceX Inspiration4 mission would be coming to their platform. For subscribers, the first two episodes are now available for streaming.
The first two episodes focus on the crew and their selection. Hayley Arceneaux, a 29-year old cancer survivor and medical assistant, is the clear star of the crew. After Jared Issacman, the buyer of the flight’s tickets, Hayley was the first to be named as a crew member. It is worth reading about the backstory of Hayley’s journey from a child fighting for her life to becoming a commercial spaceman.
On Sept 6, you’ll meet the four civilians going into space.
On Sept 13, you’ll see them prepare.

Episode 2 covers the backstories of Inspiration4, Chris Sembroski and Chris Proctor. Because many people participated in the Shift4 store challenge, sweepstakes and other activities, the selection of the two crew members was more public. Next week, the next two episodes will be available online. The final episode will be posted on September 30th. Next week’s episodes will cover the training that the crew received before the flight.
This series is exclusive to Netflix. The streaming service also plans to venture into live production. SpaceX’s historic launch day mission will be live covered by Netflix.
The preparations for Inspiration4’s historic launch continue to move along. SpaceX has just over a week before the crew lifts off from Kennedy Space Center’s LC-39A. SpaceX is working well and should be closer to obtaining launch weather forecasts for the next few days.
