Apple has confirmed the September 14 event of its highly anticipated iPhone 13/Apple Watch Series 7 event. The event will be entirely virtual and streamed live from Apple Park. Apple teases the September event by using the tagline “California streaming”.
Official Apple September Event
Apple’s September 14th event will take place at 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. ET. This is the second consecutive year that Apple’s annual September event has been held entirely virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Live streaming of the September 14 event will take place on Apple’s website, YouTube channel and through the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad and Mac. When the event day arrives, we’ll provide more information on how to view it.
What should you expect?
We expect Apple to unveil the iPhone 13 at this year’s September Apple Event. There are a few new features expected in the new iPhone. Rumours suggest that the new iPhone will have a smaller notch and camera enhancements. ProMotion 120Hz display technology is also included.
The Apple Watch Series 7 will likely be revealed at the September 14 event. The Apple Watch Series 7 will be an exciting update with a new design and a larger display. However, Apple could face production problems that could severely limit supply.
Apple could also announce new AirPods at its September event. AirPods 3 will likely feature a design that is similar to AirPods Pro but without replaceable headphones.
A new iPad mini, and an entry-level iPad are two other possible hardware announcements. However, you shouldn’t expect any new Macs to be revealed at the September event. Apple will likely save those for an event in October or November.
We expect Apple to announce its next software update release dates at the event. These include iOS 15, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15; macOS Monterey is not expected to be available until later in the fall.
