Apple is apparently considering holding a spring event on or around March 8 to unveil a new iPhone SE, an upgraded iPad, and maybe a new Mac.

The probable spring event date is not fixed in stone, but according to Bloomberg, Apple is planning its next virtual event for around March 8.

The newspaper, however, noted that production delays or other adjustments could force Apple to reschedule the date of the event. The 8th of March is a Tuesday, which is a day of the week when Apple traditionally unveils new products.

Apple is widely expected to unveil a new iPhone SE 3 and an updated iPad Air at the event. The iPhone is expected to look similar to previous iPhone SE versions, but will include a speedier A15 CPU and 5G connectivity. According to Bloomberg, the iPad Air will also feature an A15 CPU and 5G.

Although the 2022 iPhone SE model will be a minor update, sources indicate that a more significant redesign of the lower-cost iPhone could occur in 2024.

Bloomberg believes that Apple may also unveil a new Mac model with an Apple Silicon chip, while the newspaper does not provide any further information. Apple is rumored to be developing a new 27-inch iMac Pro device.

Furthermore, the newspaper was told that Apple’s iOS 15.4, which features Face ID support for masks and Universal Control, could be released in the first half of March.

If the March 8 date is confirmed, Apple would most likely send out media invitations to the keynote roughly a week beforehand.
