Apple’s mini LED-equipped MacBook Pro models, 14-inch and 16 -inch, are closer to launch. Suppliers are said to be beginning volume production.
Rumors claim that Apple will launch a MacBook Pro with a miniature-LED-backlit screen. The technology used in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro screen would be integrated into this model. A supply chain report has confirmed the rumors.
Digitimes supply chain sources have indicated that the new MacBook Pro is in high volume production. Monthly shipments will range from 600,000.000 to 800,000.000 units.
A mini LED backlighting system will be of benefit to Apple users. This system allows for higher contrast ratios of up to 1,000,000 to 1 and greater color representation.
Apple’s fall product launches coincide with volume production starting in August. Releases usually arrive several months after production begins.
Digitimes is a strong company in supply chain management and production scheduling. It is not as successful in product feature reporting.
It was thought that mini LED production shortages could have an impact on MacBook Pro production in June. However, this seems to be over.
Rumors suggest that Apple may release a 14-inch MacBook Pro and a 16-inch MacBook Pro by 2020.
