Updated Mac mini with new design and more ports coming in several months

When will Apple launch the next Mac mini. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claims that the next Mac mini will be launched in the “next few months” according to his Power On newsletter. Here’s what we know.

Along with the MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, the M1 processor was first introduced to the Mac Mini in 2020. These products have not been redesigned at the moment, but that will change over time.

The MacBook Air, which is the highest-end MacBook, will be the first. However, the MacBook Air and Mac mini will be redesigned next year.

The M1 Mac mini is used for more basic tasks like video streaming. Gurman states that the company sells the Intel model as people still use it for software development, as a server or for video editing. The M1X Mac mini will replace this in the coming months.

According to Gurman, the new model will feature a more modern design and have more ports than the existing model. At the beginning of the month, Gurman wrote that the next Mac mini will come soon after the new MacBook Pro release.

According to YouTuber Jon Prosser, the upcoming M1X-powered Mac mini will also introduce a new generation of industrial design for Apple’s standalone Mac. He claims that the 2021 Mac mini will have an external chassis with a reflective “plexiglass-like” top and an aluminum enclosure.

Apple will once again be able to offer full ports with the M1X chip, which includes four USB4/Thunderbolt 3 ports and two USB-A ports.
