NordVPN now runs natively on M1 Macs

NordVPN, another app that runs natively on new M1 Macs, is now available.Ā Version 6.6.1 for macOS offers a fully-featured experience and enhanced performance.

Vykintas Manickas, NordVPN’s product strategist, says that the NordVPN app was reworked to run natively on M1 Macs.Ā This will improve app performance and user experience for users using newer devices.Ā “Unlike many VPN providers, you only need to update the app to gain access to the NordVPN app that is compatible with your operating system.

Apple has been releasing Silicon for the Macs.Ā Developers can either write new versions of their apps for native use on the M1 computers, or Rosetta 2 can be used to translate apps created for Intel for M1 Macs.

It’s often very advantageous for an app to fully support Apple’s processor.Ā Adobe updated many of its Creative Clouds apps so that they run natively on M1 Macs, as an example.Ā Premiere Pro has a performance that is up to 80% better than Intel-based Macs.Ā About its other apps, Adobe says everything is 77% faster than comparable Intel-based systems.

M1 Mac users will now have a more efficient and faster experience with NordVPN.Ā It provides encryption for surfing the internet, allows you to change your location and can protect multiple devices so that you can log in to public Wi-Fi without any worries.

NordVPN accounts can be used to cover up to six devices.Ā You can update your NordVPN account if you are already a subscriber.
