Two leaked images were posted to Twitter this week and could provide a glimpse into Apple’s forthcoming “iPhone 13 Pro.” However, claims that the photos show a new rose-gold color make it doubtful their authenticity.
Majin Bu uploaded the photos on Twitter on Thursday. DuanRui then saw the photos and realized that the rear end of the iPhone 13 Pro had been partially assembled.
Majin Bu was informed that the iPhone unit was a dark rose-gold color.
Although the source’s claims regarding color are questionable, there is an interesting difference between the allegedly leaked unit and the actual model (iPhone 12 Pro). The current model’s rear camera bump appears to have three lenses: True Tone flash, LiDAR scanner and a rear camera bump. It measures almost twice as wide as the iPhone.
Reports and rumours have suggested that Apple will increase both the bump size on the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the iPhone 13 Pro Max to allow for larger rear-facing camera modules.
Majin Bu is relatively new in the Apple leaks community, but he was the first to unveil new iPhone 12 silicone cases colors in April before they were made public.
The “iPhone 13 Pro” will have a larger camera bump and a smaller TrueDepth “notch”. This smaller notch was apparently achieved by moving the iPhone’s ear speakers up to the top of its display.
Apple will unveil the “iPhone 13” and “Apple Watch Series 7” this fall. According to a Friday report, Apple will host two special events in September for its next-generation hardware.
