People share a lot of information on Facebook. You may simply post hundreds of photographs and videos to your Facebook account over time.

But what if you wanted to backup or preserve all of your images before canceling your Facebook account? Fortunately, there is a simple method to do this.

Facebook makes it easy for us to download all of our images at once. This method may also be used to obtain additional Facebook data such as messages, pages, reviews, and more.

Your files will not be accessible immediately. Facebook may take up to 30 minutes to put your files together, depending on how many files are being collected and the period you choose.

You will be notified when your files are complete. Click the notice, then Download. Please keep in mind that your file might be many gigabytes in size.

Your download will be in ZIP format, and you will need to unzip it to access the individual photographs included therein. Once unzipped, you’ll be able to view all of your photographs in the media folder.

If you need to redownload your ZIP file, just go back to the same area where you made it. Click on Available Copies at the top.

To re-download the file, click Download Again. This file will only be accessible for a limited time, usually a week, before it expires.

You may always rebuild the file by following the methods outlined above.

You can do the same thing with your mobile device to obtain all of your images, but this is not encouraged. Your downloaded file will most likely be huge and will need to be unpacked.

For these reasons, it is strongly advised that you download your files through Facebook’s online version.
